Sijke Willemsdr was born in 1691 in Genderen and her baptism took place there on October 7th, 1691.1  Sijke Willemsdr's father was Willem Versteghen and her mother was Ariaentje Govertsdr Hoevenaar.  Her paternal grandfather is Dirck Willemszn Versteghen and her paternal grandmother was Maeijken Petersdr Vennix; her maternal grandparents were Govert Janszn Hoevenaar and Mayken Teunisdr Melen. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Peeter, Dirck, Jan, Govert, Anneke, Maijken, Antonia and Lijsbed.  She was the third oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 71 on October 8th, 1762 in Genderen.2
