Maria was born on December 9th, 1708 in Raamsdonk.1  Maria's father was Jan Janszn van Strien and her mother was Anneke Gerritsdr Camp.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Corneliszn van Strien and Eelken Bartholomeus Corneliszn N.N.; her maternal grandparents were Gerrit Wouterszn Camp and Cornelia Matijsdr N.N.. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Jan, Matthijs, Matthijs, Cornelia, Elke, Adriaentje, Maria and Geertruida.  She was the second oldest of the nine children.  She died before March 2nd, 1721.1
