Cornelia was born on August 14th, 1707 in Raamsdonk.1  Cornelia's father was Jan Janszn van Strien and her mother was Anneke Gerritsdr Camp.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Corneliszn van Strien and Eelken Bartholomeus Corneliszn N.N.; her maternal grandparents were Gerrit Wouterszn Camp and Cornelia Matijsdr N.N.. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Jan, Matthijs, Matthijs, Maria, Elke, Adriaentje, Maria and Geertruida.  She is the oldest of the nine children.
