Marijtje was born in December 1725 in Nootdorp and her baptism took place there on December 23rd, 1725.1   Her godmother was/is Marijtje Dirksdr Vermeulen. Marijtje's father was Jacob Jacobszn Hogervorst and her mother is Neeltje Claesdr van den Bosch.  Her paternal grandparents are Jacob Jacobszn Hogervorst and Marijtje Dirksdr Vermeulen. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Dirk, Geertje Jacobsdr, Anna, Lena and Anna.  She is the oldest of the seven children.
