Lena was born in June 1733 in Nootdorp and her baptism took place there on June 14th, 1733.1   Her godmother was/is Geertje van Willigen. Lena's father was Jacob Jacobszn Hogervorst and her mother is Neeltje Claesdr van den Bosch.  Her paternal grandparents are Jacob Jacobszn Hogervorst and Marijtje Dirksdr Vermeulen. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Dirk, Marijtje, Geertje Jacobsdr, Anna and Anna.  She is the fifth oldest of the seven children.
