Maria was born on October 20th, 1815 in Borssele.1  Maria's father was Anthoni Pieterszn Hoebeke and her mother was Francina Cornelisdr van Kerkfort.  Her paternal grandparents were Pieter Anthoniszn Hoebeke and Louwrina Cornelisdr van der Vliet; her maternal grandparents were Kornelis van Kerkfort and Pieternella Marinusdr van de Vreede. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named Pieter, Cornelis, Cornelus, Willem, Anthoni, Anthonie, Marinus Livinus, Laurina, Pieternella, Cornelia, Maatje, Wilhelmina and Francina.  She was the eighth oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 46 on March 18th, 1862 in Goes.1
