Cornelis was born on February 29th, 1812 in Borssele.1  Cornelis' father was Anthoni Pieterszn Hoebeke and his mother was Francina Cornelisdr van Kerkfort.  His paternal grandparents were Pieter Anthoniszn Hoebeke and Louwrina Cornelisdr van der Vliet; his maternal grandparents were Kornelis van Kerkfort and Pieternella Marinusdr van de Vreede. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Pieter, Cornelus, Willem, Anthoni, Anthonie, Marinus Livinus, Laurina, Pieternella, Cornelia, Maatje, Wilhelmina, Maria and Francina.  He was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at 3 months old on June 14th, 1812 in Borssele.1
