Handrick was born in 1707 and his baptism took place on June 19th, 1707 in Haaften.1   His godmother was/is Maijke Hendriksdr Aldens. Handrick's father was Teunis Handrikszn Aldens and his mother is Meriken Jansdr Pippel.  His paternal grandparents were Hendrick Dirckszn Aldens and N.N. N.N.. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Dirck, Geijsbert, Aeldert, Gijsbert, Arien, Catharijn Teunisdr and Metje.  He is the third oldest of the nine children.
