Dirck was born in 1709 and his baptism took place on January 20th, 1709 in Haaften.1   His godmother was/is Arieken Gerritsdr. Dirck's father was Teunis Handrikszn Aldens and his mother is Meriken Jansdr Pippel.  His paternal grandparents were Hendrick Dirckszn Aldens and N.N. N.N.. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Handrick, Geijsbert, Aeldert, Gijsbert, Arien, Catharijn Teunisdr and Metje.  He is the fourth oldest of the nine children.
