Esther was born on September 6th, 1894 in Mount Morgan.1   Esther's father was Zalic (Zelig) Heiser and her mother was Louisa  Caroline Carter.  Her paternal grandparents were Solomon Heiser and Sarah Hyman; her maternal grandparents were Thomas George Carter and Fanny Bailey. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Charles, <Unknown>, Jestyn, Emmannuel, Florence, Rosetta and Ruth.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 64 in 1958 in Brisbane.1
