Solomon Heiser

Solomon was born in 1839 in Kempen.¹ Solomon's father was Harry Heiser and his mother was <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Heiser and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died due to a medical problem, Phthisis (archaic name for tuberculosis), at the age of 35 on October 12th, 1874 at 82 Commercial Road.²

General Notes
- Sol H is Solomon Heiser, son of Hirsdei and nephew of your Abraham. Solomon died in Peckham in 1874 age 30 (?? 34) years from typhus. His widow Sarah eventually brought our branch of the family to Australia in 1884.

  Photo of Sarah Heiser nee Hyam, widow of Solomon Heiser c 1875. Solomon died in 1874 aged 34 yrs. The children are Samuel, Maurice (Mordecai), Abraham, Esther and Zalic (youngest). Sarah emigrated to Australia in 1884 to open a hat factory. This never eventuated and she had some shops in Rockhampton, and then built several pubs.

Solomon and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on December 21st, 1859 in London.³ They had five sons and a daughter, named Samuel, Mordecai, Maurice, Abraham, Zelig and Esther.
