Esther Augusta Heiser

Esther was born on July 13th, 1862 in London.¹ Esther's father was Solomon Heiser and her mother was Sarah Hyman. Her paternal grandparents were Harry Heiser and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Myer Hyman and Rachel Holland. She had five brothers named Samuel, Mordecai, Maurice, Abraham and Zelig. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 82 in 1944.¹

  Florence was brought up by her Aunt Esther (Zalic’s sister) and it is her diary written in London that confirms the link between our families. Esthers husband Charles Norris was the postmaster on Thursday Island.
