Ellen Austen

Ellen was born on October 13th, 1857 in High Halden, Kent. Ellen's father was Esau Austen and her mother was Ellen Wilson. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Austen and Catherine Reader; her maternal grandfather was James Wilson. She had five brothers and four sisters, named James, William, John Henry, Thomas, Henry, Nancy, Emma, Sarah and Frances. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 86 on March 30th, 1944 in Rolvenden, Kent, England.
