Elizabeth was born in 1727 in Newton Toney, Wiltshire and her christening took place there on August 27th, 1727.1 2   Elizabeth's father was Edward Peck and her mother was Mary Piper.  Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Piper and Barbara Dennett. She had two brothers and a sister, named Edward, Joseph and Mary.  She was the youngest of the four children.
