Abraham was born in 1745 in Kellington, Yorkshire and his christening took place there on December 12th, 1745.1 2   Abraham's father was Nicholas Moverley and his mother was Mary  Ward. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, William, Nicholas, Mary, Ann, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the eight children.
