George Horncastle

George was born in December 1880 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex.¹ George's father was Samuel John Horncastle and his mother was Elizabeth Howard Richardson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas James Horncastle and Elizabeth Ritchie; his maternal grandparents were William Richardson and Mary Howard. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Samuel, William, Caroline, Sarah, Rebecca and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 62 in March 1943 in Leyton.²
