William Groves

William was born in 1727 in Arreton, Isle of Wight.¹ William's father was John Groves and his mother was Ann Newnham. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Groves and Rebecca; his maternal grandparents were John Newnham and Martha Taylor. He had two brothers named James and James. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 80 on January 9th, 1807 in Godshill, Isle of Wight.¹
