Violet was born on August 3rd, 1921 in Wharncliffe Street, Bethnal Green, Middlesex.1   Violet's father was Charles Edward Brackett and her mother was Eliza Frances Mortimer. She had six brothers and five sisters, named John, Frank, Charles, George, Henry, James, Clara, Louisa, Eliza, Alice and Rose.  She was the second youngest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 68 on December 31st, 1989 in London Hospital, Whitechapel, London.1
