Moshe was born in 1915 in Ustrzyki Dolne, East Galicia, Austro Hungary, today in Poland.  Moshe's father was Yehuda Ziffer and his mother was Rachel.  His paternal grandparents were Yaakov Zvi Ziffer and Hannah  Yenta (Anchy) Rosenberg. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Yona, Michael, Zvi, Ester and Rivka.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children.  He died  due to Holocaust at the age of 27 in 1942.
