Grace was born on March 20th, 1796 in Headingley Leeds Yorkshire.  Grace's father was William Foster and her mother was Elizabeth (Foster). She had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, James, Parker, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ann and Hannah.  She is the seventh oldest of the eight children.
