Elizabeth was born on January 20th, 1788 in Headingley Leeds Yorkshire.  Elizabeth's father was William Foster and her mother was Elizabeth (Foster). She had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, James, Parker, Sarah, Ann, Hannah and Grace.  She is the third oldest of the eight children.
