Priscella was born in June 1779 in Barking Essex and her christening took place on June 29th, 1779 at St Margaret's Barking.1   Priscella's father was Henry [fisherman] Thredder and her mother was Priscella Vere.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Thredder and Jane Marchant; her maternal grandfather was Henry Vere and her maternal grandmother is Mary. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Henry, Wiilliam, William, Joseph, Bannister, John, Jane, Mary, Sarah and Sarah.  She was the third youngest of the eleven children.
