Alfred was born about 1832 in Barking Essex and his christening took place in 1832.1   Alfred's father was James Pollard (net maker Fisherman) and his mother was Jane Malpas. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James, William, Alexander, Sarah, Caroline, Jane, Elizabeth Eliza and Jemima.  He died in 1915.




Alfred's family

Alfred and Martha were married.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Alfred, William, Martha, Constance and Gertrude.
