Jane was born about January 1823 in Barking Essex and her christening took place on April 6th, 1823 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1 2  Jane's father was James Pollard (net maker Fisherman) and her mother was Jane Malpas. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James, William, Alfred, Alexander, Sarah, Caroline, Elizabeth Eliza and Jemima.  She died on October 28th, 1849 in Barking Essex.



Jane's family

Jane and James were married in a religious ceremony on September 11th, 1843 at St John The Baptist Hoxton Middlesex.  They had a son named Thomas.
