Date of Birth source: 1901 census. He would NOT have been in Macosquin Presbyterian Church Recs cause they are missing from 1861 to 1865 inclusive. Gives his age as 53 in 1911 census = Date of Birth of 1858. This may be more accurate as it is post Old Age Pensions when you had to be 70 to get it.
Death Notes
He may have died before 1919 when his tenancy of house 5Ac is ended BUT, Jim Gray remembers him when he "was at sabbath school" and Jim was not born til 1920. Perhaps he moved in with his brother, James Gray, next door in house 5Ad.

A Robert Gray witnessed the marriage of William Gray to Anne Bewster.
Jim Gray of Cullyvenny, says that his father had an uncle Robert Gray of Cullyvenny.
In the 1901 census, there are two Gray households in Cullyvenny. One is Eliza Gray, widow, aged 65 living with her son, Robert, aged 40.
In Griffiths Valuation Revision Book 20E, a Robert Gray replaces James Gray Snr. as the tenant of house 5Ac in Cullyvenny in 1907, although it appears his father was dead since before the 1901 census. In Griffiths ValuationRB 20F, Robert Gray is replaced by a John Dooey in 1919 in House 5Ac in Cullyvenny and the house passes out of Gray hands (after 21 years).
He signed the Ulster Covenant in 1912.
