Buried in the New Cemetery, Presbyterian Church, Ballymoney along with her husband, Sam McShane.
General Notes
Lived in Ballymoney "for ages" (Source: Moira.) Moira, their neice, lived with the McShanes in the early 1930s. Both females had Boyd in their names.
Listed as being from Englishtown in the Nov 1906 Communicants Roll book for Macosquin Presbyterian Church. Living with her family in Englishtown in the 1911 census. Address given as Englishtown in Marriage Register for Macosquin Presbyterian Church in 1918.
She had no children.
This is the lady who asked my mother to put Boyd in my name when I was born in the Route Hospital, Ballymoney. I now know, after six years of research, that she wanted to continue her own name as well as the name of her grandmother who was called Mary Boyd and who married Robert Brewster and who gave birth to her mother, Annie Brewster.
I have also discovered that Ringland Boyd was killed in 1950 and he was very probably a second cousin of my father. Did she ask at this time especially because he had died?
