John McLatchie & Janet Crawford 
John and Janet were married in a religious ceremony on February 4th, 1770 in Old Cumnock.1 They had three sons and five daughters, named Hugh, John, Robert, Janet, Marjory, Mary, Agnes and Margaret.

John McLatchie
John was born in 1737 in Ayrshire.2 He died at the age of 60 in August 1797. He was buried in Old Cumnock.2 2- Death Notes

Here, too, in the old Kirk of Scotland cemetery, until quite recently, could also be seen the weathered tombstones, now long since fallen and illegible, which bore their names. This John and Janet, who, although not born here, lived out the greater part of their married lives at Sykeside in this Parish, became parents here of at least eight of their children
Janet Crawford
Janet was born in 1750.2 She died at the age of 50 in November 1800. She was buried in November 1800 in Old Cumnock.2
