William Thomson 
William was born on April 3rd, 1824 in Paisley and his baptism took place there on June 20th, 1824.1 2 William's father was John Thomson and his mother was Agnes Tours. His maternal grandparents were William Tours and Janet Fulton. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, John, Alexander, Janet and Isabella. He was the oldest of the six children.-
