David Shaw

David was born in June 1706 in Kilsyth and his baptism took place there on July 1st, 1706.

David's father was William Shaw and his mother was Jean Cleland.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Agnes Andersone. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Robert, William, Christian, Jean and Agnes.  He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Jean.
