Barbara Shaw

Barbara was born in March 1746 in Kilsyth and her baptism took place there on March 9th, 1746.

Barbara's father was Robert Shaw and her mother was Christian Kirkwood.  Her paternal grandparents were William Shaw and Jean Cleland; her maternal grandparents were John Kirkwood and Isabel Hendrie. She had eight brothers and a sister, named John, William, Robert, David, Alexander, James, Joseph, Thomas and Christian.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.
