Eliza's father was George Robertson and her mother was Martha Cox. Her paternal grandparents were James Robertson and Ann McMurran. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, James, George, Martha and Annie. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 75 on October 5th, 1953 in Ontario.
