James Reid

James was born on May 7th, 1829 in St. Quivox and his baptism took place there on May 17th, 1829.¹

James' father was James Reid and his mother was Elizabeth Bell.  His paternal grandparents were Adam Reid and Catharine Fulton. He had five brothers and six sisters, named George, Adam, John, Archibald, William, Catherine, Agnes, Elizabeth, Jean, Mary and Mary.  He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.
