Joseph Patrick

Joseph was born on May 7th, 1779 in Queenzieburn and his baptism took place on May 16th, 1779 in Kilsyth.¹   His godfather was John JARVIE.  Joseph's father was David Patrick and his mother was Jean Simson.  His maternal grandparents were William Simpson and Margaret Balk. He had a brother and five sisters, named David, Margaret, Jean, Janet, Jean and Agnes.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
