Isabella's father was Robert Osborn and her mother was Mary Frazer Hamilton.  Her maternal grandparents were Alexander Hamilton and Sara Fraser. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William, Alexander, Robert, David, Alexander, Hugh, Sarah, Janet, Mary and Elizabeth.  She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother named Hugh.  She died at the age of 38 on May 1st, 1902 in Arkansas.
