Hugh's father was Robert Osborn and his mother was Mary Frazer Hamilton.  His maternal grandparents were Alexander Hamilton and Sara Fraser. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Alexander, Robert, David, Alexander, Sarah, Janet, Mary, Isabella and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Hugh.  He died at the age of 69 on September 15th, 1942 in Kansas.
