John McLatchie

John's father was Hugh McLatchie and his mother was Agnes Reid.  His paternal grandparents were John McLatchie and Janet Mcowan. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Andrew, William, Robert, Hugh, Sarah, Margaret and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the eight children.  He died before 1843.  He was buried in Old Cumnock.^1 1
