Davidina Johnston

Davidina was born on July 14th, 1879 in Portobello.¹² Davidina's father was David Johnston and her mother was Anne McDonald. Her paternal grandparents were John Johnston and Ann Hardie Dick. She had a brother named Donald. She was the younger of the two children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John, Robert, Jane and Ann. She died at the age of 92 in October 1971 in London.

- From 1901 Davidina's occupation was domestic servant.³
  - Occupation Notes
    - in 1901, a servant in the household of Henry Cambell-Bannerman, who was Prime Minister in 1905-1908. But she gave birth to an illegitimate daughter in November 1902, by which time she was back in Kirkliston.
  From 1917 her occupation was wood worker in manufacturing for aeroplane makers.⁴
  
  From 1939 her occupation was daily housemaid.⁵
