Annie's father was James Rennie Hanning and her mother was Catherine Tumilty. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Nathaniel Hanning and Elshie Rennie. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James, George, James, Mary and Elspeth. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 93 on March 17th, 2014 in Paisley. The funeral took place on March 26th, 2014 in Paisley. She was cremated in Paisley.¹¹
