Belle's father was James Hamilton and her mother was Jane Tudhope.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hamilton and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Hamilton, Elizabeth, Jeanie, Janet, Margaret, Hamilton, Jemima and Mary.  She was the youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 88 on November 9th, 1962 in New Zealand.  She was buried in Auckland.^3 3
