Thomas Gilchrist 
Thomas was born in 1874 in Paisley.1 2 Thomas' father was Robert Gilchrist and his mother was Agnes Shaw. His maternal grandparents were James Shaw and Jane Wason. He had four brothers and a sister, named James, Robert, David, Douglas and Jane. He was the second oldest of the six children.-
