Robina's father was David Brash and her mother was Agnes Henderson.  Her paternal grandparents were David Brash and Margaret Easton; her maternal grandparents were John Henderson and Jean Spears. She had four brothers and six sisters, named David, John, David, Alexander, Jean, Agnes, Agnes, Margaret, Elizabeth and Magdalene.  She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 41 on May 4th, 1866 in Glasgow.³
