Margaret's father was Robert Barr and her mother was Isabella Hamilton.  Her maternal grandparents were Alexander Hamilton and Sara Fraser. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Andrew, Alexander, Alexander, John, William, Hugh, James, Sarah, Mary and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 78 on December 5th, 1936 in Kansas.  She was buried in Kansas.
