Flockhart, known as Peter, was born on June 20th, 1888 in Glasgow.¹²

Peter's father was Henry John Aitken and his mother was Eliza Stobo Rennie. His maternal grandparents were James Rennie and Catherine (Kate) Stobo. He had three sisters named Kate, Isabella and Eliza. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 83 on August 29th, 1971 in Kent.³⁴
