Eliza's father was James Rennie and her mother was Catherine (Kate) Stobo.  Her paternal grandparents were John Rennie and Euphemia McKichan. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Kate and Jennie.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 44 on February 26th, 1900 in Glasgow.  She was buried in Glasgow.^3 4 5
