William Tankersley

William was born on December 9th, 1787. William's father was George Tankersley and his mother was Dorothy Roy. His paternal grandparents were George Tankersley and Mary Longley Long; his maternal grandparents were Reuben Roy and Mary Jane Morton. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John Roy, George, Ann Fox, Lucy, Elizabeth F, Mary Jane Morton, Caroline Matilda and Dorothy. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 on March 15th, 1867.
