Matthew Marshall

Matthew was born about 1787 in Virginia. Matthew's father was Martin Marshall and his mother was Eleanor Boswell. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Marshall and Wells; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Boswell and Sarah. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Riley, Nancy, Martin Wells, Joseph Davis, Elias, Richard, Elizabeth (Betsy), Verlinda and Mary (Polly). He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers named William and James.
