Joseph Davis Marshall

Joseph Davis was born on May 31st, 1791 in Albemarle Co. , VA. Joseph Davis' father was Martin Marshall and his mother was Eleanor Boswell. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Marshall and Wells; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Boswell and Sarah. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Riley, Nancy, Matthew, Martin Wells, Elias, Richard, Elizabeth (Betsy), Verlinda and Mary (Polly). He was the seventh oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers named William and James. He died at the age of 67 on December 23rd, 1858 in Caroll Co., Virginia.
