Mary Brant

Mary was born in 1786 in NY. Mary's father was Chief Joseph Thayendanegea, or "he places two bets." Brant (Mohawk) and her mother was CATHERINE ADONWENTISHON Croghan. Her paternal grandparents were PETER Tehowaghwengaraghkwin Brant and Margaret Sahetagearat Onagsakearat , or Owandah; her maternal grandparents were Col George Tahkarihoken TRADER Croghan and Catherine Karaghiagdatle. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Jacob, John Ahyouwaeghs, Margaret, Catherine and Elizabeth. She is the fourth oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Isaac and Christina Aoghyatonghsera Kainyaron.
