Jacob Brant

Jacob was born in 1786 in NY. Jacob's father was Chief Joseph Thayendanegea, or "he places two bets." Brant (Mohawk) and his mother was CATHERINE ADONWENTISHON Croghan. His paternal grandparents were PETER Tehowaghwengaraghkwin Brant and Margaret Sahetagearat Onagsakearat , or Owandah; his maternal grandparents were Col George Tahkarihoken TRADER Croghan and Catherine Karaghiagdatle. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John Ahyouwaeghs, Margaret, Mary, Catherine and Elizabeth. He is the third oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Isaac and Christina Aoghyatonghsera Kainyaron.
