Thomas Wilson was born in 1782 in Hamiltonban, Adams County, Pennsylvania.  Thomas Wilson's father was William Bingham Biggam Bigham (Bingaham Bingham) and his mother was Anne Wilson.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh Bingham and Martha Jane Armour; his maternal grandparents were Charles Wilson and Mary Wemyss Weems. He had six brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Charles Wilson, William, John Armour, James, Armour and Anna ELiza.  He was the oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 82 in 1864.
